Yours, forever

Buy once. Keep the version you purchased.

InkVault is not positioned as a subscription. The version you buy remains yours to use permanently, even after the included update period ends.

  • Early Access includes 12 months of free updates, improvements and new features.
  • After 12 months, your app keeps working and your license does not expire.
  • Future major upgrades may be offered separately, but they remain optional.
OWNERSHIP Permanent use

Included updates help Early Access buyers benefit from active development without turning InkVault into a mandatory subscription.

Why three editions

Not every writer formats and exports books from the same setup.

Some authors want a private editor on their computer. Others want browser access from a server they control. Some want both.

  • Local edition for offline-first manuscript editing and book layout.
  • Self-Hosted edition for compatible Linux servers owned by the customer.
  • Local + Self-Hosted edition for the most flexible ownership path.
DEPLOYMENT Local or Server

One product philosophy: keep control of the manuscript, book formatting settings, project files and publishing workflow.

Local

Best for individual writers who want a focused offline workspace for manuscript editing, print layout, local backups and export tools.

Self-hosted

Best for writers, small teams, studios and publishers who prefer their own server for book editing, review and publishing exports instead of a subscription platform.

Assisted setup

Server installation support can be offered separately for customers who want the self-hosted book layout and ebook preparation option handled for them.

FAQ

Pricing and update questions

Is InkVault a subscription?

No. InkVault is positioned as a one-time purchase. The version you buy remains yours to use permanently, without a mandatory SaaS subscription or manuscript cloud.

What updates are included with Early Access?

Early Access purchases include 12 months of free updates, improvements and new features from the purchase date. After that, InkVault keeps working and future major upgrades may be offered separately as optional purchases.

What happens after the included 12 months?

Nothing breaks and your license does not expire. You can keep using the version you already have, including the updates received during your included period. New features released later may require an optional upgrade.

Why are the first 100 licenses offered at early prices?

InkVault is already complete and working in its Offline, Self-Hosted and Hybrid editions. The early price is reserved for the first 100 licenses because this first group will be followed personally, and their feedback will be reviewed carefully to guide the next improvements.

How quickly are requests processed?

Most requests are expected to be reviewed and processed within 5 business days. More complex self-hosted or hybrid setups may require additional coordination.

Why do Local and Self-Hosted editions cost the same?

They include the same core book editing, layout and export workflow. The difference is deployment: Local runs on your computer, while Self-Hosted is intended for a compatible private server you control.
